Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a supportive environment for individuals in need of assistance.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

• Support residents in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities.

• Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.

• Follow care plans accurately to ensure personalised care is delivered.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.

• Document any changes in residents' conditions or behaviours and report them to the appropriate staff members.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

• Drive to residents' homes when required for home care services.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential.

• Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.

• Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.

• Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

• A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and resident needs.

Pay:

£12.00-£14.00 per hour
