Care Assistant
Location: Glasgow and surrounding areas
Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to residents in a care home setting, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while maintaining a supportive environment for individuals in need of assistance.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Support residents in maintaining their independence by encouraging participation in activities.

Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.

Follow care plans accurately to ensure personalised care is delivered.

Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.

Document any changes in residents' conditions or behaviours and report them to the appropriate staff members.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

Drive to residents' homes when required for home care services.

Qualifications

At least 1 year previous experience in a care home or home care setting is essential.

Strong command of English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.

Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others.

Flexibility to adapt to changing situations and resident needs.
